Pet Hair Removal

When your car looks like your dog’s second home.

If there’s hair in the vents, hair in the seatbelts, hair woven into the carpet, this is the page you were hoping existed.
Pet hair removal is slow, tedious, and absolutely worth doing right. That’s why it’s its own service.

$100/hr specialized add-on
Solo-operated · no rushing

Newport, OR · Oregon Coast Premier Detailing · Honest pricing for honest work.

Who This Service Is For

You already know if this is you, but let’s spell it out anyway.

Multiple dogs
Work trucks with dog co-pilots
Family rigs with fur in every crevice
Allergies or “I can’t take it anymore” moments
  • Hair is matted into the carpet and seat fabric, not just sprinkled on top.
  • Vacuuming barely makes a dent – it just rearranges the hair.
  • Lint rollers are useless and you know it.
  • You want the car to feel like yours again, not just your dog’s.

Pet hair removal done properly is slow. It’s a combination of specialized tools, brushes,
compressed air, and patience. There’s no magic wand – just a process and the willingness to actually see it through.

That’s why this is quoted and billed at $100/hr. I’d rather be transparent about the time and cost than
pretend it’s “included” and either rush the job or quietly resent your dog. This way, we’re on the same page.

What Pet Hair Removal Actually Includes

This isn’t a quick vacuum pass. It’s a focused, panel-by-panel attack on embedded hair.

  • Pre-Vacuum: Full interior vacuum to remove loose debris and obvious hair.
  • Hair-Specific Tools: Rubber brushes, stone tools, pumice-style blocks (where safe), and specialized attachments.
  • Seats & Carpets: Systematic work section by section to lift hair out of fabric and carpet fibers.
  • Cracks & Crevices: Seat rails, between cushions, seatback pockets, and tight zones addressed.
  • Cargo/Trunk Areas: Focused hair removal in dog-transport zones and cargo liners.
  • Final Vacuum: Follow-up vacuum to pull up loosened hair and clean up tools’ work.

What It Does Not Include by Default

Different job, different service. Here’s what’s separate.

  • No full Interior Detail by itself – hair removal is an add-on to Interior or Full Detail.
  • No deep stain extraction unless we add a carpet/upholstery extraction service.
  • No odor removal treatment unless we add that as a dedicated service.
  • No promises of 100% hair removal on severely hammered vehicles – we shoot for “massive improvement” and agree on goals beforehand.

If the interior is also stained, sticky, or smells like wet dog plus road snacks,
you want this paired with an Interior Detail or Full Detail. Hair removal alone doesn’t fix everything – it just
removes the fur part of the problem.

How Pet Hair Removal Fits With Other Services

This isn’t a standalone silver bullet – it’s the heavy-lifting add-on that makes your interior detail actually work.

Pair With Interior or Full Detail

The best way to do this is simple:

  • Book an Interior Detail or Full Detail.
  • Add Pet Hair Removal at $100/hr.
  • We agree on a max time cap (for example, 2 or 3 hours).
  • I work the hair until we hit the goal or the agreed cap.

Allergy & “New Chapter” Cleanups

This is especially useful if:

  • You’re selling the vehicle and don’t want “dog car” to kill interest.
  • You’ve developed allergies or have a new family member with them.
  • You’re just done sitting in a rolling fur coat every day.

If that’s you, say so when you book. I’ll prioritize the zones that impact you the most.

Let’s Talk Honest Expectations

You deserve the truth about what this kind of work looks like, not a fairytale.

On extreme jobs, there is no such thing as “one and done in an hour.” When hair has been building up over years,
driven on, sat on, and ground into fabric with moisture, it’s like trying to pull Velcro out of Velcro.

That’s why we:

  • Walk the vehicle together and look at the worst zones.
  • Agree on a realistic time cap (1, 2, 3+ hours).
  • Set priorities (driver’s seat, passenger seats, cargo, etc.).
  • Focus hardest where it matters most to you.

My goal is to give you a huge jump in cleanliness and comfort – not to pretend there was never a dog in there.
Some fibers, materials, and years-of-neglect situations simply won’t go back to “factory fresh.”
But they can absolutely go from “oh my god” to “this feels like my car again.”

Pet Hair Removal FAQ

Why is pet hair removal billed at $100/hr?

Because it’s genuinely tedious, specialized work that can easily double or triple the time of an interior service.
The hourly rate keeps it honest and flexible – if it cleans up faster, you pay less. If it needs more time, you decide whether we keep going.

Is there a minimum charge?

Yes, 1-hour minimum. Even light-but-embedded hair takes time to work out properly once tools and setup are involved.

Can you promise 100% of the hair will be gone?

No one honest can promise that on heavy cases. What I can promise is a massive improvement and upfront expectations about what’s realistic
for your specific vehicle and budget.

Do I have to book an Interior or Full Detail too?

In most cases, yes. Pet hair removal by itself is like mowing half the lawn – it helps, but it doesn’t fix the whole picture.
Pairing it with an Interior or Full Detail gives you a complete reset instead of just “less hair on a still-dirty interior.”

What if I’m on a tight budget?

That’s exactly why we set a time cap and priority list. You tell me what matters most (for example, front two seats and driver floor),
and I’ll make the biggest impact I can inside that window.

Can you remove hair from child seats?

I can clean around and under them if you remove them before drop-off. For liability reasons I do not reinstall car seats.
Many parents bring them loose in the trunk or leave them at home.
