Most of the work is before the coating ever touches the paint.
- Thorough Wash: Foam pre-wash, hand wash, wheels, tires, jambs.
- Decontamination: Chemical and/or clay decon to remove bonded contaminants.
- Paint Inspection: Identify defects, thin spots, repaints, and realistic expectations.
- Machine Polishing: Single-stage correction to remove swirls, haze, and minor defects.
- Panel Wipe: Solvent wipe to remove polishing oils for maximum coating bond.
- 5-Year Ceramic Coating: Applied in controlled conditions, leveled, and allowed to begin curing.

What the Day Actually Looks Like
No mystery, no “trust us bro.” Here’s the rough flow for a typical 5-year coating appointment.
Pre-Inspection & Wash
We walk the vehicle, talk about your goals, and set expectations. Then it gets a thorough wash, including wheels, tires, jambs, and tight areas.
Decon & Correction
I remove bonded contaminants, then machine polish to clear out swirls and haze. This is where 80% of the magic happens. The coating locks this in.
Coating & Cure
Panels are wiped down and the 5-year coating is applied methodically. After leveling and initial cure, you get aftercare instructions and realistic expectations.
5-Year Coating FAQ
Is paint correction included?
A single-stage correction is included in the base pricing to remove general swirls and haze.
If your paint is heavily scratched, oxidized, or previously neglected, we’ll discuss multi-stage correction at an additional cost.
How long do you need my vehicle?
Plan on 1–2 full days depending on size and condition. Coatings are not “in and out in two hours” if they’re done right.
Can I drive it right away?
Yes, but you’ll want to avoid washing or exposing it to harsh conditions for the first few days while the coating continues to cure.
I’ll give you specific aftercare instructions before you leave.
Will this stop rock chips and door dings?
No. Ceramic coatings are for chemical and environmental protection, gloss, and ease of cleaning –
not impact protection. For that, you’d be looking at paint protection film (PPF).
What if my vehicle already has a coating?
We’ll inspect and test the surface. In many cases, we’ll need to polish off the old coating to install a new system properly.

How do I keep the coating performing?
Correct wash technique and periodic maintenance decon. You can do it yourself with my aftercare guide,
or we can set up a maintenance schedule where I handle it for you.
